Headlines
I worked with Cupboard Games on a prototype for a game called Headlines in late 2017 early 2018. I was the lead artist on the team. I created all the characters using Maya and Zbrush and rigged them all using UE4's ART (rigging system). All characters shared a skeleton and all animations worked on all of them. For this project I directed an environment artist and two animation students. |

I also spent a long time making the Post Processing Material that allowed us to change various colours and shadow properties to give each environment a whole different feel.
It was important for me that I made something where we could have harsh and soft lighting in the same Material rather than having different Materials for different scenes. We used various artists as inspiration for the environment lighting such as Patrick Caulfield, Matteo Berton, Malika Favre and Jake Longstreth. |
National Film and Television School
I work closely with the students at NFTS’s Games Design and Development, assisting them with Character design and Modelling, Rigging and Animation. I help them to develop a pipeline that works with the scope of their project and within the time and budget. I am on hand to answer any questions or explain any concepts about the art side of games. Altogether I have worked on 26 games over the last four years. Including games nominated for Best Student Game at the Unity Awards and at The Game Awards.
